The Day of Filming

As you can see from the pictures the day went fairly well in terms of weather, the consistency of and the fact that there were very little clouds in the sky when we were shooting meant that the footage had continuity without glaring confounding variables such as different shadows of cloud in the supposedly same time frame due to edits. Because we went early (10 AM) we were able to get all the footage and photo's in the one day (we finished at about 3-4 PM), this was a great help as it again helps the continuity of our video as the weather and background is always the same which could have been a major problem if we didn't capture all the footage in the same day.

In terms of our actors most of them did a good job with what we gave them to work with although certain members didn't look as professional as we had hoped, however that was a problem on our part as we gave them insufficient warning and time to practice their instrument and role in the video.

Plan for Filming

Here is the plan for when we are filming and what each member has to bring to the set, we have done this to make sure we bring everything necessarry as to not waste the short period of time we have to shoot.

Weather Forecast

When planning the day of filming we had to make sure the weather conditions were good enough. To do this we relied upon sources from weather forcasts such as the BBC websites and Sky's I also used my Iphone application, the reason we did this was to gain a broader forcast as predictions are known to be unreliable

Letter To Song Publisher / Writer

As we are using a copywrited song we have written a letter to the writers and publisher asking for permission. We are doing this as the exam board stated we must if not using an un-liscenced song and we are doing it now incase they don't allow us to use the song we can change before our shooting is planned to take place

A Few Ideas

Recently I've been thinking about our music video and thought the design we had may be a little boring to watch, so I've come up with the following solutions and have proposed them to the group and they believe they would work well.

First of all while the majority of the video will be shot at Boston Castle, we will have little breaks in the performance in which we will be miming to the video in a different place, as seen in this video:



I believe doing this will make the video on a whole more entertaining and humerous, also as you can see in the video at about 01:26 the people stop singing and the drum player 'freezes', I think if we all froze we could add a cool camera effect which can be seen at 00:20 (and throughout) the following music video:



Overall I believe this will make the video a lot less monotonous and overall more interesting for the viewer while simultaneously allowing us to get better marks in the coursework.
