Double Page Spread Draft

Here is my draft double page spread I created with Quark. There seems to be trouble with exporting PDF files from Quark to Adobe Photoshop which removes any drop shadow other than the colour white, this has resulted in the large white "X" losing its red drop shadow and the red text in the article losing its white drop shadow.

This is my treatment, using this I have decided upon how I will create my magazine and what I will put in it, I have also discussed the photography and health and safety issues. I opened the word document in Adobe Photoshop and cropped the image to upload it onto my blog.

Work so far

I am currently up to date with everything.

I am however making last patches on my double page spread.

Next week I plan on taking photos of my bands for my final submission.

Starter Task

Identify 5 generic elements of a double page spread.

1 - Large picture of the main artist covering both pages. (Different to pic on cover) Can be high angle or long shot. Landscape.
2 - The actual text/article.
3 - Sub headings and drop capitals.
4 - The title. (Can be a pull quote.)
5 - Buy lines. (The photographer and journalist credits.)

Starter Task

1 - On tour with. (Photo's of band etc.)

2 - Expose.

3 - Informative/history of the band.

4 - An upcoming music festival.

5 - Interview.
